Ongoing Things

There is still a significant amount of improving the user interface to be done and that will be during all the releases. Of particular note is the phonebook editting which is both hideous and user hostile.

Version 0.7

The focus for 0.7 will be on importing and exporting data, especially the phonebook. Initially it will be with files (for example .csv or vcard files). Interoperating with specific programs such as Mozilla, Palm Desktop and Outlook will then proceed from that.

Not assigned to a particular version

These items are intended to be done in the future, but are not planned for a specific release of BitPim.

• Easy selection of ringtones and wallpapers rather than using numbers
• A hex editor for the filesystem view
• Rebooting the phone (this looks unnecessary)
• Being able to do things to the midis (convert to type 0, reduce length, alter volume)
• Renaming wallpapers and ringtones
• Printing
• Display/editing of SMS, notes
• Doing something with audio on the phone (eg voice recorder stuff)
• Multiple user/device profiles
• Undo
• Archiving
